2011 Party

The Potomac Fest Party is a family friendly event with good food, great music, and fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Come relax after a long day on the river, hang out with your friends, chow down, listen to music, and find out who won the day's events. There will be a silent auction, artists' alley, gear swap, vendor booths, and maybe even a game of roshambo. You don't want to miss it!

  1. Money collected for the gear swap is a donation to AW as a part of the fund-raising efforts of PoFest!
  2. You may enter as many non-boat items as you want for a total of $5.
  3. You may enter as many boats as you want. The cost will be $10 per boat.

Besides the excellent paddling gear, books and dvds the centerpiece of this year's silent auction is 3 paris of tickets to see the Washington Nationals play at their new, oh-so-green Nats Stadium. These are not your runofthemill tickets. Our Presidential Seat tickets right behind Home Plate include access to the Gold Star Club (open bar, complimentary food and beverages to your seat, and VIP parking pass). Retail value per ticket: $300!!! We've got six of 'em. Do you dare see what they'll go for?

Ro-Sham-Bo vs. Woody

It's Woody agin' you and the rest of the crowd who forks up a few $ to win a new Liquidlogic kayak.  It'll go quick, so hold off draining that half-full beverage to keep your wits about you. If you're halfway decent you'll have a great chance at winning: if you're not, you might just get lucky! Woody will be conducting Rock-Paper-Scissors clinics Friday afternoon for Type A contestants.

This just in, Potomac Fest to be part of regional qualifiers for the national rock/paper/scissors champion.

This year one of the party highlights will be a rock, paper, scissors face-off conducted by Woody Callaway of Liquid Logic. Participants will by chances to participate in the event to win prizes from various sponsors with the grand prize being a boat from Liquid Logic. Proceeds of the tournament will go to AW. Come to the party Saturday evening and join the fun!

While registration has closed, there are a limited number of tickets for the Saturday Party, still available on a first come, first served basis, beginning at 6 pm Saturday at Rockwood Manor.

Let the games begin with the on-water clinics and demos by Liquidlogic and Jackson Kayak! We look forward to seeing you and providing super fun weekend that celebrates and respects our beloved Potomac, the Nation's River.
