2011 Community Paddle Results

We held the Potomac Whitewater Festival two weeks earlier this year to get better water, and it paid off in a big way!  The river was a perfect 3.7 feet and we were blessed with sunny, 85 degree weather for the Community Paddle.

2010 Community Gorge Paddle Results

The 2008 Community Gorge Paddle was a great success, with several participants saying it was the best ever.  After handing out the awards, we paddled through S-Turn, Rocky Island, and Wet Bottom as a group.  In the flatwater below Wet Bottom we performed many "stupid human tricks" including standng up in our boats, lining up for a kayak boom run, fitting five people onto a Pirouette S, and h

Thank you to all who came to participate in this year's Community Downriver Paddle. Congratulations to those of you who paddled down Mather Gorge as fast as you could (it is a long flat water stretch!) - and congratulations to those of you who floated down the Gorge chatting with friends, throwing a Frisbee around, and looking good in silly costumes!
