Downriver Squirt

Event Location

This event starts at O-Deck and ends at S-turn. Competitors have 4 minutes to find the best squirt spots throughout the 1/4 mile course. The idea is to play the entire course, but you can only play once in and once out of a particular spot.

Event Details

There will be three judges for this event located throughout the course. Each judge uses a 1-10 scoring system. The three judges combined scores determine the final placement.

Event Details

Squint boaters take multiple runs at a strong interface between the moving current and an eddy. Using their body movement and angle boaters attempt to perform Mystery Moves, submerging their boat and body completely under water. Scoring depends on duration of disappearance and grace of reentry.

Boaters will be divided into heats of 3 or 5 depending on the number of participants. Each heat will get three 5 minutes periods to continuously hit the eddy line and be scored by the three judges. Scoring is based on style, downtime, reentry and recovery. Being smooth is what it is all about.
